The Lemons 2 Lemonade journey began in 2018 in Dulwich Hill, grounded in a vision of making therapy more human - warm, supportive and approachable. From the beginning, the practice set out to offer an alternative to the traditional, clinical feel of mental health care, creating a space where clients could feel genuinely heard, understood, and safe.
As the practice grew, so did its commitment to the Inner West community. Today, Lemons 2 Lemonade is based across the vibrant suburbs of Annandale and Leichhardt, offering accessible, trauma-informed psychological services to individuals throughout the area. Strengthening its community roots, the practice is now also affiliated with local General Practice services, including Annandale GP and Leichhardt GP, ensuring clients benefit from a collaborative and integrated approach to mental health and wellbeing.
Laura, our Principal Psychologist and founder works with clients from adolescence and onwards through the lifespan, drawing on a combination of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). This flexible, evidence-based approach allows her to tailor each session to the unique needs, experiences, and goals of every individual.
With extensive experience in the trauma and disability sectors, Laura specialises in the consultation, assessment, and treatment of complex mental health presentations. She brings deep clinical insight and compassion to her work, supporting clients through challenges such as trauma, emotional dysregulation, anxiety, depression, grief, and major life transitions.
Laura is also an approved service provider with the SIRA Workers Compensation Scheme and Victims Compensation NSW, offering specialised support for individuals navigating adversity and recovery.
